Collaborating with my grandmother, the crofter, and author Sheila Gear, on a series of interpretive film accompaniments as she catalogues oral histories, family footnotes, cartographic/tidal and other local knowledge, dialect, biological highlights, etc of the island of Foula.
As part of this creative contribution, I am mining my own ever-overflowing sonic and visual archive of Foula (tunes, bird studies, cliff walks, flora/fauna close-ups, etc) and overseeing the visualization and digitization of this unruly collection of detail, this personal cultural preservation effort, that my prescient granny began curating when she was twelve.
